SilSera respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it. We collect only what is needed and nothing more.

What We Collect

• Email address: when you join the newsletter, request chapter notifications, or sign in to Your Sky. Used to send you updates and daily pulse reminders.
• Account information: if you sign in via Google or email magic link, we store your name, email, and profile picture (from your Google account) to personalize your experience.
• Star & constellation data: your pulse responses, star placements, and taste portrait. This is the core of your SilSera experience and is stored to persist your sky across sessions.
• Analytics data: we use PostHog to understand how visitors navigate the site. PostHog operates in privacy-friendly mode: no cookies for anonymous visitors, no cross-site tracking. Only signed-in users are identified.

How We Use Your Data

• To deliver the SilSera experience (your sky, your stars, your portrait)
• To send you emails you've opted into (newsletter, chapter notifications, daily pulse reminders)
• To understand how the site is used so we can improve it

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Services We Use

• Supabase: database and authentication (your account, stars, subscriptions)
• Resend: email delivery (welcome emails, pulse reminders)
• Vercel: website hosting and serverless functions
• PostHog: privacy-friendly analytics (no cookies for anonymous users)
• Google: OAuth sign-in (only if you choose to sign in with Google)

Cookies & Tracking

SilSera does not set cookies for anonymous visitors. If you sign in, Supabase stores a session token in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) to keep you signed in. PostHog uses a first-party cookie only for identified (signed-in) users.

Email Communications

You may receive:

• A welcome email when you subscribe
• Daily pulse reminders (encouraging you to check in with your sky)
• Chapter notifications when new garments are revealed

Every email includes an unsubscribe link. One click and the reminders stop. Your stars remain.

Data Retention

Your account and constellation data are kept as long as your account exists. If you unsubscribe from emails, we stop sending but retain your subscription record (with an unsubscribe timestamp) for compliance. If you want your data fully deleted, contact us.

Your Rights

You can:

• Unsubscribe from all emails at any time
• Sign out and clear your local data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us
